About > Name Origin

The Addax (Addax nasomaculatus) is a critically endangered desert antelope that inhabits several isolated regions of the Sahara.  The Sahara's largest indigenous mammal, the addax travels in small herds throughout the Western Sahara, Mauritania and Chad. The addax is the most desert-adapted of antelopes, being well adapted to heat, a diet of coarse grasses and the absence of water. It lives most of its life without drinking, deriving sufficient moisture from dew and the plants upon which it feeds. Because of the extreme aridity of its habitat, the addax moves over considerable distances in search of food.

We feel that the addax is an appropriate representation of our resilience and determination to succeed against all harsh environments.
